Director's Note

Descendants has become so popular, and it reminds me of some other classics. The show’s music makes you want to dance, and dance they do. I always try to find a lesson in a show, and this one reminds and also teaches us that your past does not define you, and "to thine own self be true."

The children came to camp everyday with energy, dedication, and excitement to rehearse. They have embraced every challenge. They have worked so very hard, had lots of fun, and made new friends. It has been wonderful to see them helping each other and come together as an ensemble.

As a director I am always in awe of how, in a short amount of time, the children bring the magic to the stage. How blessed am I to do what I love and share what I love.

I would like to thank my team, Mr. Tim , Maizy, and Akshara for all their help in putting this show together. It’s so great to work with talented, creative, and theatre-loving people who love to work with children.

Thanks to Ms. Naomi and our production team: Gerard, Danny, Eli, Heather, and Courtney.

And thank you to Ms. Steph for giving us a place to be stars.

In His name,
- Ms. Debbie
