Getting To Know Our Winter Staff #5

Over the next couple of weeks, we will introduce you to the faces you can find at DLC teaching classes this winter! Next up is Mr. Andrew!

Meet Our Teaching Artist: Mr. Andrew

What can students expect from your class?

Lots of fun! We will put on a fun story, learn all about our characters, play drama games, learn some new theatre knowledge, and make some new friends! All of this in a safe environment that is prioritizing the health of students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

What’s your favorite winter memory & why?

My favorite winter memory, or perhaps favorite winter tradition, is making and decorating cookies with family (and eating them afterward of course). I’m not the biggest fan of winter, but it is probably the only time it is socially acceptable to make an outrageous amount of cookies, and I just love that.

What is your fondest memory of teaching/directing for DLC?

This is not a specific moment, but my favorite memories are always the final days of classes. When the class is coming to an end, it is always wonderful to see how far the students have come in their skills, their characters, the show itself, and in growing closer together as a group of friends.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself!

I am a juggler! I can juggle balls, clubs, and rings.

Andrew is scheduled to counsel the Tuesday & Wednesday class productions of Pirates of the Amazon: The Mystery of Treasure Island. Learn more about our classes and register for one today on our Winter Session page.
