Getting To Know Our Winter Staff #12
Over the next couple of weeks, we will introduce you to the faces you can find at DLC teaching classes this winter! Next up is Ms. Hannah!
Meet Our Teaching Artist: Ms. Hannah
What can students expect from your class?
In my class students can expect to learn some special effects makeup techniques ranging from simple bumps and bruises up to some more advanced gruesome and gore. It's gonna be a little messy and a lot of fun!
What’s your favorite winter memory & why?
I don't know that I can pick ONE favorite, but every year I go down to Texas to spend the holidays with my family. Living far away from all of them is hard, and these past couple of years I haven't been able to visit them as often as I'd like/usually do. So, spending the holidays with my family is always super special.
What is your fondest memory of teaching/directing for DLC?
Every time I see a student practicing choreography backstage or on breaks, my heart grows 3 sizes. I’ve seen a student go from zero experience to nailing the choreography in the performance in just a few weeks, and it ALWAYS makes me so incredibly happy and proud. I love seeing students progress and grow!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself!
I don’t eat or drink anything blue. I pick out the blue M&Ms, I won’t eat cotton candy, I scrape off blue icing. Blue food freaks me out! So I don’t eat it. You are welcome to eat my blue M&Ms anytime (you know... once we can safely share food again).
Hannah is scheduled to direct our School's Out Workshops "Special Effects Makeup". Learn more about our classes and register for one today on our Winter Session page.
