Getting To Know Our Summer Staff #2

Over the next couple of weeks, we will introduce you to the faces you can find at DLC teaching camps this summer! Next up is Ms. Mallorie!

Meet Summer Camp Teaching Artist Ms. Mallorie

What can campers expect from your camp?

Campers can expect a lot of fun, movement, and learning new skills. We’ll spend time warming up, learning how to tell a story, dancing, singing, and more!

What is your fondest memory of teaching/directing for DLC?

Watching the students perform at their final show is always so heart-warming and exciting. It’s amazing to watch them perform after working so hard in rehearsals no matter how many we’ve had. They have so much fun and we all get to celebrate their accomplishments with them from the audience.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself!

In high school, I got to play Mary Poppins in our spring musical and I flew across the stage!

What’s your favorite Disney/Pixar movie and why?

My favorite Disney movie is the original, animated Beauty and the Beast because I love the story, characters, and music. I could watch the opening over and over again. Plus, Belle is one of my favorite princesses: brave, loves to read, kind, compassionate, determined.

Mallorie is scheduled to teach some Broadway Babies camps this summer. These virtual sessions are designed for preschool students ages 3-5. Campers will meet over Zoom for 5-day sessions and share what they have learned at the end of the week in a short showcase. Learn more about our Broadway Babies camps and register for one today on our summer camp page.
