Getting To Know Our Summer Staff #11

Over the next couple of weeks, we will introduce you to the faces you can find at DLC teaching camps this summer! Next up is Ms. Hannah!

Meet Summer Camp Teaching Artist Ms. Hannah

What can campers expect from your camp?
Campers can expect to learn some theatre terminology and how putting on a show works. They will be challenged with music and choreography, but they can be sure that we will always help them rise to the occasion. We want everyone to shine!

What is your fondest memory of teaching/directing for DLC?

Every time I see a student practicing choreography backstage or on breaks, my heart grows 3 sizes. I’ve seen a student go from zero experience to nailing the choreography in the performance in just a few weeks, and it ALWAYS makes me so incredibly happy and proud. I love seeing students progress and grow!

Tell us one fun fact about yourself!

I don’t eat or drink anything blue. I pick out the blue M&Ms, I won’t eat cotton candy, I scrape off blue icing. Blue food freaks me out! So I don’t eat it. You are welcome to eat my blue M&Ms anytime (Well, maybe not NOW… unless we use gloves to separate them out).

What’s your favorite Disney/Pixar movie and why?

Hercules! I LOVE the music. And the characters are all amazing: Hades, Pain, and Panic are some of the best Disney Villains, Danny DeVito as Phil is iconic, and Megara is such an underrated heroine (and the one I can identify with the most). It’s just… I love it.

Hannah is scheduled to teach several camps this summer, including Seussical Kids & Shrek Jr.! Learn more about these camps and register for one today on our summer camp page.
