TYA is Drama Learning
Center’s Teen Professional Company. Available by audition only,
the TYA class allows students to work in a professional theatre
environment as they learn about all aspects of theatrical work.
Junior Company is an opportunity for upper-level students with TYA
aspirations to further develop skills in audition preparation,
harmony signing, character development, and more. Junior Company
class will culminate with showcase performances. |

TYA SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The TYA Scholars
Program is a college preparatory program for students interested
in pursuing a collegiate and professional career in theatre. TYA
directors will offer up to two students per grade level the
opportunity to participate in the TYA Scholars Program, which
will be a full school year commitment to both TYA shows and have
the following additional objectives per grade level:
Freshman Year
Continue repertoire development.
Sophomore Year Hone audition technique.
Junior Year Establish target colleges and
audition material, produce a DVD reel of audition material,
and apply to Musical Theatre Summer Intensives.
Senior Year Finalize applications and auditions,
make final decision, and establish an action plan.
Tuition is $450 per
season and includes tuition to both TYA sessions and select
private coaching with TYA directors. Interested candidates
should email a letter of interest to Stephanie@dramalearningcenter.com.
TYA Alums have
studied, or are currently studying, at such prestigious programs
as: NYU Tisch, Marymount Manhattan, University of Maryland,
Elon, James Madison University, Indiana University, Wagner
College and others.

To Audition
-
Call 410-997-9352 to set up an
audition time.

Prepare a song of your choice (sheet music required) and a
2-minute monologue.

Fill out TYA Audition Form (below), list all conflicts for the rehearsal
period–include weekday conflicts, read and
sign the TYA Expectations Form (below). You will not be able to audition
without completed paperwork.

Bring the forms to your audition along with a recent picture.
