Artistic Staff

Stephanie Lynn Williams (Executive Producer, Director)

A graduate of Goucher College with a degree in Theatre Performance and Directing, Stephanie performed in the DC/MD/VA area prior to becoming the owner of Drama Learning Center and Shadow Block Productions in December 2006. With Shadow Block she performed the roles of "Emma" in Johnny Guitar, "Millworker" and "Charley Blossom" in Working, "Sister Hubert" in Nunsensations, and "Nancy" in Oliver. With Drama Learning Center she has directed successful productions of Seussical, High School Musical, Charlie Brown, Once on This Island, and Honk. A recipient of the George Brendan Dowell Award in Theatre from Goucher College, Stephanie was also selected as a participating director in the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival. She is proud to be the director of Teaching Young Actors- DLC's teen professional company.

 

Aaron Michael Broderick (Artistic Director, Resident Music Director)

A music director, sound designer and composer residing in Columbia, Mr. Broderick has worked for many of the area's finest theatres such as Rep Stage, Arena Stage, Toby's Dinner Theatre, Olney Theatre, The Hippodrome, Winter's Lane Productions, SAC at HCC, and Shadow Block Theatre Company. For Shadow Block, Mr. Broderick has music directed Ruthless, Working, Johnny Guitar (area premiere), Violet, 1940's Radio Hour, Life After High School, and The Lucky Stiff. In December 2007, Mr. Broderick was afforded the opportunity to become Artistic Director of Shadow Block Theatre Company. He is also the resident music director for Teaching Young Actors- DLC's Teen Professional Company. He is a graduate of Towson University.

 

Myron "Mo" Dutterer (Founder, Producer, Director)

Myron A. (Mo) Dutterer has called Howard County and Columbia home since 1974. During that time he has taught 29 years in Howard County Public Schools, the last 25 of those years as the Drama teacher at Centennial High. Within these years, Mo has directed over 100 musicals or plays, and performed in another 40. Mo is currently teaching private singing lessons and acting classes in Howard County, and also conducts public speaking workshops for corporations and national lecturers. Mo was the founding director of Howard County Summer Theater (1975), Howard County Players (1998), and Shadow Block Productions (2002). Favorite roles Mo has performed on stage include Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, Will Rogers in The Will Rogers Follies, Harold Hill in The Music Man, and Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun.
