On Love and Loss

About the Season

“I think anyone who opened their heart enough to love without restraint and subsequently were devastated by loss knows that in that moment you are forever changed; apart of you is no longer whole. Some will never again love with that level of abandon where life is perceived as innocent and the threat of loss seems implausible. Love and loss, therefore, are linked.”

― Donna Lynn Hope

Indeed, love and loss are inextricably linked… and have provided thousands of tales in story and music that we never tire of hearing. In this, our sixth full season, Red Branch Theatre Company explores the joys – and often pain – of loving or having loved and lost.

You’re going to love our season, and you’re going to especially love an exclusive, one-night-only performance from a musical theatre legend.

Others say men and women speak different languages. In The Last Five Years, Jamie and Cathy are almost never even in the same place at the same time. Experience the creation and demise of this five-year union from two uniquely different perspectives.

From the composer who brought The Addams Family and most recently Big Fish to Broadway, we present this poignant look at relationships.
